Rev. Susan Lassalle - Pastor

 

Rev. Susan was born in New Orleans and grew up in Metairie. She attended LSU, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education. Susan was an educator for 21 years, teaching in Baton Rouge, Metairie, and Kenner, Louisiana. For two years she served as a missionary in Kenya, where she taught at an international school and worked at the Bible Translation and Literacy Center in Nairobi, writing Bible study materials for the languages in which the Bible was being translated.

Upon returning to the U.S., she attended seminary and earned a Master of Divinity. In 2006 she was ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans. She was called as pastor of First Christian Church in Slidell for 7 ½ years, where she led that congregation through a transformation process.

In 2013 she moved to Austin, Texas, to serve as Regional Field Staff for Church World Service.  In October of 2015 she was called as Pastor of Little Farms United Church of Christ. In her free time, Susan enjoys being outside, working in the yard, and being with friends and family.  She also keeps up with news and politics daily.   Susan can be reached by email at slassalle3@gmail.com

Molly Guinan - Music Director

Molly took on the position of Music Director at Little Farms United Church of Christ in July of 2015 shortly after moving to New Orleans for an internship. Molly is originally from Lancaster, Ohio and graduated from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, receiving her Bachelor's in Music Therapy as well as a minor is Psychology and a Certification in Church Music. As the Music Director, Molly directs and accompanies the LFUCC Choir, as well as organizes special music for services and events. In addition to being Music Director at LFUCC, she currently works as a board-certified music therapist at Northlake Behavioral Health System in Mandeville, Louisiana, serving adults in acute and long-term psychiatric care and adolescents in residential psychiatric treatment.

Karen Nauck - Church Secretary

Karen has been Church Secretary since 2013.  She is a life long United Church of Christ member, growing up in an old church in New Orleans.  She loves being involved with Children’s Ministries, Music and Hospitality.  Karen has 5 children and 6 grandchildren and has been married to Michael for 33 years.
